TiPS became known as the Alarm Management Company after introducing LogMate, the first full-featured, commercially available alarm management software solution in 1990. Since then, our software and services have continued evolving to fully address the ANSI/ISA 18.2 standard Alarm Management Lifecycle Stages.
We believe alarm management is about more than a single aspect of the lifecycle, thus requiring tools, documentation and support for all of the components on an ongoing basis. That is why alarm management is not just one of the things
we do, it is what we do!

For our pipeline customers, the introduction of the Pipeline Hazardous Materials and Safety Administration (PHMSA) 49 CFR Parts 192 and 195 Regulations required either establishing or changing control room management (CRM) and alarm
management programs. Soon after the rules were released, TiPS took an active leadership role in understanding the needs of the industry and providing solutions to help pipeline operating companies address the PHMSA rules.
TiPS was founded in 1988 as an automation consulting firm specializing in wet chemical manufacturing facilities. Based on the needs of our chemical customers back then, TiPS developed LogMate to help address data logging and alarm management needs which quickly became our core business. LogMate has been installed on bulk chemical, specialty chemical and polymer applications throughout the world. We understand the unique requirements for applying alarm management to continuous, batch or hybrid operations.
The flexibility of our LogMate alarm management solution is a tremendous benefit for the diverse operations of the oil and gas industry. Oil and Gas represents a broad segment of TiPS customer base with installations for a combination of onshore and offshore exploration and production operations. TiPS recognizes many complexities

Many pharmaceutical companies have avoided specifically addressing alarm management because of these complexities. TiPS believes that alarm management
is an important part of current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).
